OUR VALUES
We believe in the unique value of simple things, we sell handmade jewellery, homewares, books, natural skincare and plants in our little store in De Hallen in Amsterdam West.
The products in our store are made by individuals, by hand, by small design studios and makers. We believe that a hands on, human approach yields a better end product.
Our objects have a story, a maker, an integrity.

We buy our products directly from the people who make them, in this way when you buy a product from us you support people that make their living by creating things they love.
THE GATHERSHOP JOURNEY
2013
In 2013 Gathershop Started out as a little market stall selling on markets around Amsterdam.
2014
In 2014 The Gathershop opened 'for real' on the Van Woustraat in De Pijp.
2016
In 2016 we moved to our new home in De Hallen in Amsterdam West.

It all started when I moved to Amsterdam from the UK in 2011. I had studied Architecture and Interior Design in London and originally came to Amsterdam as an intern. I fell in love with both the city and my husband and never went home! I had always dreamed of a little store selling lovely objects and the idea never seemed to go away - in 2013 I quit my interior design job and started collecting beautiful handmade things, selling them on market stalls. In 2014 I finally made the leap & opened our first store on the Van Woustraat in De Pijp, moving to our current home in De Hallen in 2016. Being a store owner has brought a lot of wonderful creative people into my world over the past years, it's the most inspiring part of my job"
